Pro-Life Day is Tuesday!

Hey Everyone!
I have not been on here for awhile, sorry about that! School is just very occupying.

Heads up!
  • Tomorrow is Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity.
  • "No one is telling anyone, how to think, or what to think. Why must we be criticized, when we are just trying to raise awareness, and get people to talking, in the hope that maybe someone will change their mind? This is meant to be a fight against the act, not a fight against one another."-FB User.

Be kinder to others...

Hey everyone! Here is my speech I did in English today.
My topic is being kinder to others!
Tell me what you think!

More lives are lost to suicide than to murder. Consider this: Every 15 minutes, another American commits suicide, it can be due to depression or to being bullied. Are you doing anything to stop it?

In my speech I will be speaking about why we need to be kinder to others and the consequences that happen when we are not kind to one another.

If we can all just be kinder to our fellow peers we can have a safer and friendlier environment.

In the last month, six gay boys committed suicide due to being bullied about their sexuality. How many more deaths do we need to see that this is not right? On April 6 an 11year old boy, I repeat an 11 year-old boy who suffered anti-gay taunts and bullying at his school hanged himself at his home. That marked the fourth suicide at Dunaire Elementary School. A few weeks later that number has grown to five with the hanging death of Jeheem Herrera, according to an April 21 article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Mahatma Gandhi once said "You must be the change you want to see in the world.” So what change are you going to bring?

I think we all need a little bit of Dr. Cullen inside of us. For those who may not know Dr. Cullen is from the Twilight Saga. He is a doctor, farther and a husband in the book/movie series. He takes in new newborn vampires that are in need of help and helps treat them so they can survive. So how does this deal with you? Now instead of helping newborn vampires, you need to help one another. If you see someone in need, they may be getting picked on, go and help. Don't just stand and watch them getting bullied, Dr. Cullen isn’t watching the vampires die.

Now to get on the deep side, back in middle school I had a chance to help this girl named Ashante from being bullied but I didn't do a thing to help her. Every day on the bus some of my friends would always pick on her, it was from her clothes to her hair and even the way she talked. I just sat and laughed along with them. Now don't get me wrong I felt bad for her but at that time not bad enough to stick up for her. Well two years later she found me on face book and I apologized to her it doesn't make up for her being bullied but It does clear my conscience a bit knowing that she forgives me.

All I'm trying to say is we all need to be kinder to others in order to have a safer and friendlier environment. The number of kids who commit suicide due to being bullied is growing and we ought to try and stop that. Basically treat others how you want to be treated and I bet its fair to say no one wants to be the target of relentless bullying.

A quote to end it...

"In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Martin Niemoeller

Can I get an Amen?

I ♥ these bible verses!

"For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."-Ephesians 2:10

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."-Matthew 6:34

"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"-Numbers 23:19

"
The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. – Psalm 145:9

"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."– James 4:7

"
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."-Philippians 4:6-7

"
If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." – John 15:18-19
